In keeping with the Museum’s philosophy of ‘forming new vitality for the collection, creating new value for the Museum’, its priceless artefacts are reinterpreted for a contemporary lifestyle. The National Palace Museum, first established in 1925, holds a permanent collection numbering some 700,000 pieces, spanning 8,000 years of history, and is regarded as one of the world’s greatest repositories of Chinese art and culture.
